ATEN KVM PS/2 —Switch for simultaneously working with two PCs
Computer Idea, No. 67, Spain

The Taiwanese company ATEN has introduced a new switch which has the capacity to connect two computers. One of the advantages that users will appreciate is that the device integrates the support of loudspeakes and microphone. The model that we have tested allows users to independently switch the audio and KVM focus between the computers. User can input sound to two computers (to one after the other) and listen to the sound output of both computers (of one at a time) via one single microphone and one single set of speakers. As users tend to have more than one computer, the number of switches being used is growing very fast. Currently, the number of home users with two computers is exponentially growing. Although this device seems to be complex at first sight, it really is a very helpful and easy to use product for users who work with two computers, a web server or video applications at home. This device facilitates the move from one equipment to the other without having to change the keyboard or mouse.
