| ATEN Presents New Version
of CN-6000 KVM on the NET™ |
 |
Taipei, November 4th,
2005. ATEN International, leading provider
of connectivity solutions, today unveils a
new version of its remote server management
solution CN-6000 KVM on the NETTM with a clearly
enhanced range of features and functions.
The CN-6000 that enables network administrators
to remotely access KVM switches and servers
via LAN, WAN, or the Internet, now provides
RADIUS support and allows multiple users to
log in at the same time for concurrent access
to a server. Furthermore, the Message Board
feature allows logged in users to communicate
with each other. Already installed CN-6000
devices can be upgraded by easy firmware update.
CN-6000 allows administrators to remotely
access KVM switches or servers via LAN, WAN
or the Internet and provides access to up
to 64 user accounts over a web-based management
console with Graphic User Interface (GUI)
under MS Windows. The CN-6000 supports TCP/IP
and HTTP as well as the network standards
10Base-T and 100Base-T. "ATEN's
CN-6000 is one of the most effective business
solutions with Over-IP-functionality",
says Kevin Chen, President of ATEN International.
"After easily implementing the device
in an already existing KVM installation, the
administrator can comfortably manage a bunch
of servers through remote access. With its
progressive state-of-the-art technology, the
device is revolutionizing the way we interact
with KVM switches today."
The CN-6000 allows users to access and manage
servers from anywhere outside the server room
in a simple and most convenient way, while
the device occupies less than one rack unit
(0U) featuring the highest density on the
market today. With a superior video resolution
of 1600x1200 DDC2B the switch offers the highest
graphical quality available at the moment.
During the development of the CN-6000, ATEN
was committed to the increasing security requirements
of enterprises. The CN-6000 works with RSA
1024-bit encryption for safe and secure data
transfer, supports the encoding standards
DES, AES, SSL and provides filters for IP
and Mac addresses. The administrators can
also select Stealth Mode or disable Echo Mode
to prevent any intruders from using ICMP ping
or AP client programs and unlawfully detecting
the CN-6000 installation.
The new CN-6000 KVM on the NET™ is available
now. Administrators who use legacy models
can upgrade their firmware via a RJ-45 Ethernet
connection. If you wish to know more about

About
the KVM Switch
KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) switches are
control units that allow access to multiple
computers from a single console. Before the
development of KVM switches, the only way
to control multiple computers from a single
console was through a complex and costly network.
Now, with the KVM switch, people can easily
access multiple computers or platforms (from
2 to up to 4096) in a convenient, space saving
and cost effective manner.
