Better Wayfinding
A city district’s transportation authority wanted to modernize the digital signage system for some of its metro system’s older lines to facilitate location-specific, targeted content being sent to screens in stations, as well as on platforms throughout the metro system to improve the rider experience. This included the rollout of a new communications platform, enabling the screens to provide real-time service information while also generating advertising revenue for the authority. In the future, the system would also require the capability to be expanded to outside the stations, so the screens could be used to alert citizens at the street level about crowded stations and service delays.
Upgrading the digital signage system allowed the authorities to connect with passengers and deliver a better transit experience while also generating ad revenue.
