New 5K Universal Secure KVM Series Reinforces Classified-to-Unclassified Isolation with PSD PP v4.0-Certified Hardware Protection

Sydney, Australia (Nov. 27, 2025) - ATEN International, the leading provider of KVM and AV/IT connectivity and management solutions, today announced the launch of the PSD PP v4.0 Universal Secure KVM Switch Series, the industry’s first 5K Secure KVM Switches certified to PSD PP v4.0 (Protection Profile for Peripheral Sharing Device, Version 4.0) by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP). Purpose-built for defense, intelligence, and national security agencies, the new ATEN Universal Secure KVM Series addresses critical requirements for multi-classification environments, where preventing data leakage between Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret systems is mission-essential.

Equipped with DP 1.4 / HDMI 2.1 combo video connections and 5K ultra-high-resolution visual clarity, the series supports mission-critical workstations, across command centers and surveillance hubs. The ability to configure Port LED colors and classification labels—such as yellow for Secret or red for Top Secret—ensures rapid, accurate identification for operators handling sensitive missions.

Compared with the previous generation, the new ATEN PSD PP v4.0 Universal Secure KVM Switch Series features a more compact, tamper-evident chassis that supports secure deployment within restricted facilities while enhancing operator efficiency across multi-classification operations.

Complying with the NIAP-certified PSD PP v4.0 standard, the series ensures high-assurance data protection when switching between classified and unclassified systems. It safeguards against unauthorized data flow through hardware-based isolation, unidirectional data transmission, peripheral and audio filtering, and an always-on tamper-proof design. Users can securely share one keyboard, mouse, monitor, speaker, and CAC reader across multiple networks—achieving strong security assurance without sacrificing usability.
