A university wanted to upgrade its conference hall tech with a smart AV control system to enhance meeting experience and to allow organizers to hold virtual and hybrid events on site. The university wanted a videoconferencing system integrated with PTZ cameras so delegates can connect with colleagues remotely through Teams-based meetings and presentations that was also suitable for standard offline conferences. It was important that the system was easy to operate, from start up to shut down, and that hybrid meeting functions could be accessed as simply as possible, since there would be no permanent technical staff on hand. They also wanted the highest quality audio and video on a reasonable budget.
The university required more high-level conferencing functionality in order to host engaging seminars whilst adapting to new hybrid ways of working and teaching.
The solution needed to interoperate with equipment from a variety of manufacturers, including a wireless presentation system, collaboration software, and LED displays.
Ease of Use
The university does not have a dedicated IT engineer to operate the AV system, so the equipment needed to be intuitive to operate for university staff, students, and guests.
We chose an ATEN solution for the ease-of-control and the optimized video quality, which is easy to manage and does not require technical assistance in operation
