As the first extender in its class to support H.265 compression while delivering ultra-clear 4K60 4:4:4 video over just 100 Mbps bandwidth, the VE8662 enables low latency and scalable AV over IP transmission from simple point-to-point setups to extensive multi-endpoint systems. Recognized with the prestigious Good Design Award 2024, this advanced solution transmits True 4K HDMI, audio and RS-232 over long distances with low latency and full signal integrity, ensuring reliable and stable streaming across standard network infrastructure. In the future, the ATEN VE8662 will enable seamless integration with other H.265-compatible products, such as surveillance IP Camera.

Capable of functioning as either a transmitter or receiver, the VE8662 supports highly flexible AV over IP deployment and allows fast switching between sources and displays with real-time control and instant visual feedback across both vertical and horizontal video walls. It is perfectly suited for scalable digital signage installations in sports arenas, transportation hubs, security rooms and control rooms where operators need to manage and distribute AV content across multiple workstations and displays.

By employing the H.265 video compression standard, the VE8662 offers significantly improved compression efficiency, delivering sharper and more refined high-definition visuals while reducing bandwidth usage, latency, and signal loss compared to H.264. Designed for maximum reliability, it supports both PoE and DC power input, providing redundant power options to maintain uninterrupted performance in case of unexpected power outages.

Unlike conventional video extenders, the VE8662 supports KVM workstation functionality with OSD preview, featuring Boundless Switching technology. This allows operators to switch between video sources effortlessly by simply moving the mouse cursor across screens, enhancing real-time situational awareness and informed decision-making. Additionally, video content can be flexibly pushed or pulled between operators and a video wall using KVM control through an intuitive on-screen display menu, enabling seamless source selection and efficient video feed management to streamline collaboration.
