The 4K Quad Display KVM over IP Console Station KA8585 is a high-performance, all-digital standalone console with multi-view support that replaces a PC or laptop. It delivers crystal-clear 4K video from KG / CN series all-digital KVM over IP switch without any smearing or color bleeding, enabling users to remotely access, monitor and control all servers connected to multiple KG series KVM over IP OmniBus Gateways and CN series KVM over IP Switches, while providing advanced multi-view capabilities that allow simultaneous monitoring of multiple live sources across four displays. It also supports various data encryption methods to ensure impervious data security. The KA8585 can be deployed anywhere instant access and stringent security are required, making it ideal for applications such as studios, finance, software development and testing, offices, data centers, broadcast stations, control rooms, and network operations centers (NOC).
The KA8585 supports USB mouses/keyboards, along with 2 DisplayPort video outputs and 2 HDMI video outputs at resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz. It also allows users to multitask across four displays with a single keyboard and mouse. Additionally, it provides both a Control Mode and an Array Monitoring for each screen, giving users intuitive and flexible options to meet their requirements for specific applications.
In Array Monitoring, the 4K Quad Display KVM over IP Console Station features Panel Array Mode™ Live+, allowing administrators to instantly monitor the video output of up to 64 servers per screen - meaning up to 256 servers can be monitored simultaneously across four displays. The feature makes it possible for real-time monitoring the status of all the ports at the same time, which is especially suitable for environments such as manufacturing and surveillance, where a large number of ports often need to be monitored.
In Control Mode, the KA8585 provides a canvas-like layout, allowing users to intuitively drag and drop up to 4x4 sources from the port tree list. Each source appears as a small window within the layout, which can be resized and displayed in PoP or PbP mode. Users can also press the auto layout icon to automatically arrange the windows. Each window provides direct keyboard and mouse control of the target server and includes a control panel with settings such as video quality, mouse sync, window size, enter full screen, and more.
The KA8585 also supports the Boundless Switching feature across four displays, allowing users to control servers seamlessly across all four screens.
Among its advanced functions, the KA8585 supports extended desktop with displays arranged vertically or horizontally, showing remotely connected servers across its four screens to provide users with a wider view for control.
The KA8585 can be set on a desk, mounted on a wall or at the rear of a rack, with its space-saving 0U rack-mount design.
