Taipei, Taiwan (October 27, 2021) – ATEN International, the leading provider of AV/IT connectivity and management solutions, today announces to establishing a local presence in Johannesburg after six years of supplying its solutions to local businesses and consumers. The move serves to forge closer ties with local resellers and channel partners, enabling them to meet market demands with its range of solutions and generate new revenue streams.

The ATEN brand consists of innovative solutions applied to connectivity, professional audio/video and green energy systems for consumers, small/home offices (SOHO) environments, Small Medium Businesses (SMBs) and enterprise customers.

The company has also made an extensive investment into an “experience room” or showroom for prospective resellers and channel partners to showcase a significant element of ATEN’s solutions to their end user customers in a working environment. 

Says Benji Pienaar, Sales Manager at ATEN South Africa: “ATEN is excited to be opening a showroom in Johannesburg where potential customers can experience our products and see how they work in certain builds.”

ATEN has already established a market in Namibia, and the company plans to use its South African presence as a launchpad for entry into Central Africa.

Better communication

“Our local presence will make it simpler to communicate with our channel partners, as they will be able to interact directly with us and our products at the showroom.

“The showroom will include a control room environment, a boardroom and also demonstration models that will be rotated as newer models are unveiled,” says Pienaar.

Furthermore, partners and resellers can take advantage of ATEN’s online training system, which offers multiple courses, along various product lines. Each course concludes with an exam and certification. Training is also offered on specific product models for specific projects.

Pienaar notes that ATEN currently works with distributors Pinnacle, Rectron and Solution Technologies. “As far as reseller connections are concerned, we believe the showroom will help us forge new connections. However, ATEN is here to stay and looks forward to growing strong relationships with existing and new resellers.”

On-demand support

A huge benefit for partners and resellers is that a local presence means on-demand support. This will result in improved turnaround times and issues will be resolved quickly.

“Our products come with a three-year warranty that covers every single item in our extensive product range, and all our products are tested to ensure they last. This is in line with ATEN’s emphasis on quality control,” added Pienaar.

“Aside from on-demand support, the partners and resellers will benefit from local and international ATEN engineers who are available for training for specific projects and models that a customer is working with. Customers will have access to as much training as they need.”

ATEN is currently working on finalising its channel incentive program, which is expected to launch soon.

“As a company, our aim is to encourage users to change from their existing technology and move to ATEN. And so, the main goal of the local showroom is to aid in building confidence,” concludes Pienaar.
