ATEN’s Response Regarding the Apache Log4j Vulnerability

Regarding the recently published vulnerability in Apache Log4j (CVE-2021-44228), ATEN is releasing fully updated firmware versions of its UPS ViewPower software to address potential concerns.

The fully updated firmware versions are now available. Please refer to the following table:

OL1000HV, OL1500HV, OL2000HV, OL3000HV, OL1000LV, OL1500LV, OL2000LV, OL3000LV		For users that are running Java 7, ATEN has released version V1.04 of ViewPower to fix log4j 2.12.1 with full OS support, including Linux, Mac, and Windows. Those users running Java 7 are encouraged to upgrade to this new version.

Regarding the recently published vulnerability in Apache Log4j (CVE-2021-44228), ATEN is releasing an update to its UPS ViewPower software to address a potential concern. We suggest the following actions to be taken:

  • Option #1: Now -- Manually download the currently available patch file. Please visit the product page/support and downloads section.
  • Option #2: In Two Weeks -- ATEN will provide fully updated firmware versions for these models.
