Taipei, Taiwan (September 8, 2020) – ATEN International, the leading provider of AV/IT connectivity and management solutions, today announces partnership with Zyxel Networks, a leader in delivering secure, AI- and cloud-powered business and home networking solutions, to extend the usability of AV over IP (Audiovisual over Internet Protocol) products. This partnership integrates the profound strengths accumulated by the two parties in the professional audio-visual and network industries for many years, and provides Networked AV architecture with increased scope for higher scalability and flexibility, simpler operations, and cost-saving innovations.

AV over IP uses standard network equipment to transmit and switch video and audio signals, similar to the IoT concept of the IT industry. It has become particularly popular in recent years due to its breakthrough distance limit, high scalability and cost-effectiveness. According to Futuresource Consulting(*), shipments of AV over IP encoders/decoders are to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 63.3% from 2016 to 2021; it is evident that more and more AV systems are transforming from their traditional infrastructure to AV over IP technology.
