Auditorium AV Distribution Revamp
for Interactive Videoconferencing
The IZSLER Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute in Brescia, Italy is a government public health organization that regulates activities in the agro-food sector for compliance with ethical values, for the purpose of the socio-economic development of the country.
IZSLER needed to revamp the AV distribution system for their 99-seat/6-speaker auditorium in order to respond to the broadening of their conferencing requirements. They needed to organize events with both classroom participants and videoconference participants that included both interactive and streaming components, and wanted to further develop the potential of the auditorium infrastructure via innovative AV solutions.
Interaction & Interoperability
Support for multiple AV source devices sources for face-to-face meetings and videoconferences that facilitate easy content sharing and interaction from anywhere in the room.
Flexible Display Options
In addition to a variety of guest speakers, there are many uses for the auditorium space that require different display options, such as projecting 2 different video sources at the same time (PBP).
Control of the system from a single command center, both fixed and wireless (such as via tablet) to allow easy management of events (selection of video sources, video projector, video camera, volumes).
The ATEN solution provides full satisfaction with optimal flexibility as well as simplicity of use.

Ease of Use
Thanks to ATEN’s award-winning GUI, the solution provides intuitive system management, even for non-technical personnel, from both tablet and desktop computer.
Employs a FPGA matrix architecture that ensures continuous video streams, real-time control and stable signal transmissions for video sources for projection, videoconferencing, and to the speakers’ podium.
Possibility of system expansion thanks to the large number of inputs and outputs present on the HDMI Matrix Switch and by the use of HDBaseT™ extenders that can accommodate longer distances.
