ATEN Delivers Industry-First HDMI Wireless Extender with Matrix Functionality
ATEN’s VE829 provides the capability to wirelessly transmit HD 1080p and 3D content to two displays independently from as many as five source devices
Taipei,
Taiwan (November 18, 2013)– ATEN
International, the world-leading designer and manufacturer of
advanced connectivity and management solutions, today announced the
launch of the industry’s first HDMI Wireless extender that
integrates matrix functionality. The VE829 5x2 HDMI Wireless Extenderprovides the
capability to send full uncompressed HD 1080p and 3D content up to
30 meters to two HDMI displays from as many as five source devices.
It is ideal for home entertainment, conferencing rooms, and other
commercial, retail and education environments that require the
versatility to configure multiple sources and displays.
The VE829 consists of a wireless transmitter and a
wireless receiver with connections for HDMI and other components
which meansitshows various HDMI content in different locations at
the same time. It also supports USB HID connectivity to provide the
capability of usinga keyboard and mouse to control a computer or
laptop which is connected to the transmitter. Infrared (IR)
pass-through enables wireless control of source devices from the
receiver site and helps consolidate high-definition audio/video
electronics, such as a DVD, DVR and Blu-ray players, set-top boxes,
game consoles and computers.
“The
wireless matrix functionality of the VE829 represents a significant breakthrough for ATEN
and the professional audio/video industry,” explained Kevin Chen,
President of ATEN International. “It offers the flexibility
to deliver high-definition content on one display and at the same
time, select from up to five sources to feed the secondary screen
or projector. Through its wireless connectivity, the VE829 eliminates the time and cost of cabling and also
reduces clutter, which is especially useful in environments that
integrate a multitude of components and devices.”
In addition to the VE829, ATEN offers the VE809 HDMI Wireless
Extender which has similar functionality and wireless
signal capabilities, nevertheless, streamlines to two sources
