ATEN to show the future of AV meets IT at COMPUTEX 2017 

The ATEN booth will feature the 4K over IP control room and digital signage scenario,

to show the integration of AV and IT management

Berkshire, United Kingdom (May 26, 2017) – ATEN International, the world-leading provider of IT connectivity and total management solutions, will give visitors a glimpse of the future of AV meets IT at COMPUTEX 2017 (TWTC, Hall 1, A0626) from May 30 to June 3. The ATEN booth will feature live demos of ATEN’s next generation of high-speed connectivity solutions, including a real-time, 4K over IP control room scenario, a 4K over IP digital signage, and a total control solution for collaborative, multi-purpose meeting rooms. The stand will also include a SOHO office scenario with the industry’s first 4K dual-view Thunderbolt™ 2 sharing device.

 

Global AV/IT integration is a maturing trend, bringing with it escalating demands in connectivity and bandwidth. According to a 2017 report from Gartner*, over 20 billion connected things will be in use worldwide by 2020. Furthermore, 4K contents, devices & service are getting prevalent, 4K video over the network will become the next main trend. Fully abreast of these trends, ATEN will showcase its latest solutions for AV meets IT with a comprehensive array of products features such as 4K over IP remote access management, built-in video wall functionality, ATEN Seamless Switch™ technology, intuitive GUIs, and EDID Expert™.

 

In addition, ATEN will display its two 2017 COMPUTEX Best Choice Award winning products, the VM3200 Modular Matrix Switch and CS1924 4-Port USB 3.0 4K DisplayPort KVMP™ Switch

 

The key features of the ATEN booth will include:

 

4K over IP control room scenario

Control rooms must allow users to effectively monitor multiple information streams to make accurate, mission-critical decisions, making high-resolution displays particularly important. ATEN’s product line for control centres not only supports 4K ultra-high resolution but also features a multi-level privilege management function and KVM signal and data transmission encryption, ensuring a high level of security for the remote access operation. At COMPUTEX, ATEN will showcase the 4K HDMI KVM over IP Extender KE8950, which offers high scalability and flexible deployment for different control room needs. In addition, the KE8950’s centralised management functions and intuitive GUI greatly enhance management efficiency.

 

4K over IP digital signage

The ATEN booth will also feature a large-scale 4K video wall made possible via the ATEN 4K HDMI over IP VE8950 video extender. With distributed network management as well as an easy and intuitive GUI, the solution offers easy installation, flexible management, and ATEN’s exclusive Seamless Switch technology. In addition, the VE8950 receiver supports up to eight units of Daisy-chain connection, meeting the needs of large-size retail centres for multi-faceted digital signage kiosks, as well as providing users with expandability and easy cabling.

 

 

Total control solution for collaborative, multi-purpose meeting rooms

ATEN will display the latest version of its Control System at COMPUTEX 2017. The newly optimised solution now further enhances equipment integration and collaboration, allowing for functions such as cameras that automatically focus on speakers as well as ambient temperature controls. And users can now automatically execute a series of preprogrammed instructions, offering intelligent control in any environment. The ATEN Control System integrates with a diverse and flexible range of equipment, can be quickly installed, and boasts a user-friendly GUI interface that can be used via any mobile platform. What’s more, the latest version includes a more flexible customization option for users, allowing them to quickly switch between different pre-set meeting environments.

 

SOHO office environment

In addition to 4K device control and connectivity, ATEN also offers next-generation high-speed connectivity solutions for 4K content creators and will demonstrate the industry's first Thunderbolt 2 shared PC switcher, the US7220, in a simulated office environment. The device offers data transfer at speeds up to 20 Gbps, with dual 4K dual-view display functionality and one-button PC switching, greatly improving work efficiency.

 

The ATEN booth will also include a True 4K/4K Pro A/V Solutions area, showing visitors how ATEN solutions offer True 4K with a 60Hz update rate and 4: 4: 4 colour sampling (Chroma) to support the most realistic image quality. Additionally, there will be a dedicated area for ATEN’s World’s No.1 KVM products as well as latest PDU solutions.
